Hi!
My name is Magnus Fröidh, and I´m currently living in northern Stockholm (Märsta), Sweden. I´m 24 years old, and have been drawing/painting since I was around 14. Back then I played a lot of Games-Workshop games, and I was really inspired by the art in the rulebooks. Especially Mark Gibbons´ work was impressive to me. So, I decided to start drawing/painting myself!
I started with common sci-fi and fantasy-based themes, and I´m still inspired by those things. It´s fantastic to be able to create something that does not exist in the normal world, while doing it in such a manner that it´s still interesting to the modern man.
In recent years I have been drawn more to surrealistic art. I like the way it captures the viewer`s imagination and makes them think (at least it does to me).
My inspiration comes from many places, oftentimes from other artists. Stephanie Pui-Mun Law and Andrew Jones are two of those. Other things that inspire me are my own thoughts and feelings, things I see and stuff that happens around me, and God.
To sum up what I would like to convey in my art: The beautiful, the fantastic and the divine.
I´m not there yet, but I´m slowly moving towards it...
